The palace was the residence of the Bonsecolo, an ancient and noble family originally from Nardò, whose most illustrious ancestors included Theodore, Bishop of Lecce, who passed away in 1108.

It subsequently became the property of the Episcopal Curia which made it the seat of the Episcopal canteen.

Today the historic residence returns to its ancient splendor which, at the end of a skilful and careful restructuring work, hosts Le Club Boutique Hotel.
